Artistic Director of Eurasian Stars International Music Festival

Dear friends,

It is a tremendous honor to welcome you to the Eurasian Stars International Music Festival here at the Turkistan Concert Hall. Over the coming days, we invite you to join us on a journey through the timeless beauty and profound emotional depth of classical music. Each performance has been crafted to connect us not only with the music itself but with the universal experiences, memories, and dreams that these compositions evoke.

Classical music has an extraordinary ability to transcend language, culture, and time, drawing us together in shared moments of reflection, joy, and wonder. Through the artistry of our gifted soloists and the dedication of the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra, I believe we will experience this art form at its fullest—its ability to move us deeply and to remind us of what is enduring and true in life.

As we bring these works to life on stage, my hope is that each performance offers you a space to immerse yourself in the music, to find something personal within it, and to carry these moments with you long after the last note has sounded. Thank you for being here with us to celebrate the power and beauty of classical music.

The V Eurasian Stars International Music Festival, led by esteemed Artistic Director and conductor Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, is set to take place at Tashkent’s Turkistan Concert Hall from October 15 to October 18, 2022. This year’s festival promises an enchanting series of performances featuring the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra and world-renowned soloists, highlighting the works of celebrated composer Alexey Shor.

Opening on October 15, piano virtuoso Yekwon Sunwoo will perform Shor’s Childhood Memories, a nostalgic journey through evocative soundscapes. Under Kabdurakhmanov’s direction, the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra will bring depth and emotion to this moving composition, setting a high standard for the concerts to follow.
