Under Kabdurakhmanov’s direction, the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra will bring depth and emotion to this moving composition, setting a high standard for the concerts to follow.
On October 16, violinist Zia Hyunsu Shin will take the stage with Shor’s Four Seasons of Manhattan. This piece, a vivid musical portrayal of New York’s iconic landscape, is expected to resonate deeply with audiences, with Shin’s expressive style paired with Kabdurakhmanov’s orchestral direction to capture each scene with finesse.
The festival will conclude on October 18 with a memorable performance by Denis Kozhukhin, who will present Shor’s From My Bookshelf in a concert version arranged by Mikhail Pletnev. Kozhukhin’s anticipated interpretation, alongside the orchestra, will offer a profound finale that celebrates the interplay of literature and music, leaving the audience with a lasting impression of classical music’s power to inspire and transport.
